Georges and Mario Reyes of the Gipsy Kings family and Cedric Leonardi return to Vibrato for two spectacular evenings of Indo–Gypsy fusion! Following sellout performances at Vibrato last year, the project has grown to new heights as one of Bollywood’s favorite stars Charanjeet Virdi joins tabla virtuoso Salar Nader on stage with the Gypsy Allstars.

Alfredo Caceres, guitar/mandola, and Cuban Virtuoso Carlitos del Puerto, bass, will join Ced on drums with Georges and Mario, guitar/vocals, and singer Charanjeet. Two of Flamenco’s foremost award–winning modern stars, Manuel Gutierrez and Arleen Hurtado, will weave their flamenco and fusion dance magic into the music.

Ced, Georges and Mario will return to India in October 2013 as part of a Gypsy Allstars project, which explores the origins of gypsy culture in Rajasthan, India. They are in Los Angeles preparing new material and re–imagining existing music before traveling to India later this year.

Gypsy Allstars

Georges and Mario Reyes are the son and cousin, respectively, of Gipsy Kings founder Nicolas Reyes. Los Angeles based Ced Leonardi grew up with the Gipsy Kings and most recently toured as their drummer.

The Gypsy Allstar project combines the glorious gipsy rumba with infectious India Alap in the groundbreaking, heartfelt project to return gypsy music to its ancestral home in a documentary, “Return To Rajasthan,” for Discovery Channel Asia.

The Gypsy Allstars have sold out their western seaboard tour, which kicks off at Vibrato on April 9th.
